Italian American Cinema: A Pena do Pana – Ad Ipponion
Two short films written and directed by Lucia Grillo. Ad Ipponio (Ode to Ipponion) and A Pena do Pana (The Cost of Bread) are filmed entirely in Calabria. A Pena do Pana is the story of Grillo’s mother’s childhood in Calabria. Winner of Best Digital Short Film Award at the Rome Independent Film Festival. Meet the director Lucia Grillo at a pre-screening symposium; Q & A session will follow the screening.
